Betsy is entering her second season as Pulaski Yankees General Manager and fifth overall in Minor League Baseball. She was named General Manager of the New York Yankees' Advanced Rookie Affiliate following the 2018 season after joining the organization as Assistant General Manager in February of the same year. Betsy spent her first two seasons in MiLB with the Danville Braves, where she started as a Media Relations Trainee before being named Sales & Marketing Manager. Since October 2016, Betsy has assisted the Appalachian League with its media relations efforts as League Publicist, and she is currently serving on the Appalachian League Executive Committee. Betsy is a member of the inaugural class of the Women in Baseball LIFT Mentorship Program and also serves as a mentor for MiLB's FIELD Program.
Betsy was named the 2018 Rawlings Woman Executive of the Year by Minor League Baseball and guided Pulaski to Appalachian League Organization of the Year honors in 2019, with the club earning the 2019 John H. Johnson President's Award, MiLB's top honor. She was also recognized as Appalachian League Woman of Excellence in 2017 and 2018 and Appalachian League Outstanding Employee of the Year in 2017, while helping the Danville Braves earn the Appalachian League's 2017 Organization of the Year honors. Prior to beginning her career in MiLB, Betsy, an Earlysville, Va. native, earned degrees from Marshall University (BA, Sport Management & Marketing, 2014) and Virginia Tech (MA, Communication, 2016).
Betsy is an active member of the Pulaski community, serving on the Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the Pulaski County Tourism Advisory Committee, and as a Pulaski County Ambassador. She is a member of Pulaski County Young Professionals and also serves on the planning committees for two charity softball games hosted at Calfee Park each year.
