KINGSPORT, Tenn. – Friday's game was all River Turtles.

No, literally.

Pulaski took out weeks of pent-up frustration on the Kingsport Axmen, defeating Kingsport, 10-0, on Friday in Kingsport en route to picking up their tenth win of the season.

It didn’t take long for 2023 Appalachian League All-Star Sam White to make an impact. After a first inning single, White came back for a bases-clearing double in the second to put Pulaski (10-25) up 3-0. Recent addition Tyler Dunn added on another run for the River Turtles with an RBI single.

Dunn picked up a second RBI single in the third scoring Carter Owens to extend the lead to five runs.

Pulaski put the game away in the sixth as they tagged Kingsport reliever Jeremiah Newman for five runs off exactly zero hits, scoring three runs on three wild pitches and two Kingsport fielding errors.

It was a nice day at the plate for 2023 All-Star Mike Mancini as he had a 2-for-3 day and reached base three times.

Eli Edds started for Kingsport (18-21) and picks up his second loss of the season, while Pulaski starter Andrew Steinhaus threw a gem, striking out seven over seven scoreless frames to get the win.

Kingsport heads north to take on the Princeton WhistlePigs for a weekend series with first pitch for both games set for 6:00 p.m.
