Tommy Gregg returns for his second season at the helm of the Coal Cats after managing the club in its inaugural season. Gregg has more than 35 years of professional experience as a player and coach, and his club produced two All-Appy League honorees in 2024.
MoreFour pitchers combined for the first no-hitter in Tri-State Coal Cats history in a 10-5 win at Johnson City on July 10. Joshua Paulina started and struck out six over five frames and was relieved by Jack Renaud. Renaud (1.0 IP), Ben Roberts (0.2 IP) and Ryan Brown (2.1 IP) joined to finish off the feat for the Coal Cats.
