Josh Stewart is entering his first full-time season with the Burlington Sock Puppets, after joining the team as an on-field emcee during the 2023 season. Prior to coming to Sockville, Josh was involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes and as a Youth Director for New Life at Hocutt Church.

An Alamance County native, Josh grew up in Burlington, graduating from Burlington Christian Academy. He is a huge Panthers and UNC Tarheels fan and enjoys spending his free time making music, drinking large amounts of coffee and taking fantasy football way too seriously.

Cooper Manes is entering his second season with the Sock Puppets, having spent the last season interning with the club in their ticketing department. He is a graduate of Clemson University with a degree in Economics.

Cooper is a native of Calgary, Canada, while also having lived in places around the Carolinas. Cooper is an avid fan of the New Orleans Saints, Atlanta Braves, and Calgary Flames. He enjoys spending his free time playing golf, watching random TV shows, and spending time with his friends. Cooper is excited to get involved in the Alamance County community and interacting with everyone here in Sockville!

Adam Hipsky is a current Broadcast Digital Journalism major at Syracuse University. Adam will serve as the voice of the 2025 Burlington Sock Puppets this summer. He is excited to join the team and tell the stories of this summer in Sockville as he continues to develop as a broadcaster and journalist.

In 10 years, Adam is looking to work in TV or radio, sharing storylines and connecting with fan bases and audiences wherever he goes. An interesting fact about Adam is that he has never broken a bone! Outside of school and work, he enjoys golfing and traveling to new places.

Drew Sizemore is a recent graduate of Guilford College, where he earned his master's in International Sport Management. Drew spent the last summer as an operations intern for the Sock Puppets, as well as a spring intern in their sales academy. He is excited to spend another summer in Sockville and have a lot of fun working with great people.

Drew's goal in 10 years is to become a well-established professional in the sports industry (and would love to work internationally in sports). An interesting fact about Drew is that he owns a lacrosse club called Part Timers Lacrosse Club. Outside of school and work, Drew loves playing lacrosse, golfing, and spending time with my friends and family.

Emerson Baker is a senior Sport Management major at Elon University. Emerson grew up in Concord, North Carolina and is excited to join the Sockville family and gain experience in the sports industry. A soon-to-be graduate, his goal is to work for the Carolina Panthers or another professional sports team in the tarheel state.

Emerson also plays football at Elon University. Outside of school, he enjoys fishing, golfing, reading and just being outdoors!

George Duross is a rising Junior at Coastal Carolina University, studying Recreation and Sport Management. George is excited about joining the team in Sockville wanting to help create fun experiences for everyone who comes through the gates.

His career goal is to work in an MLB organization. A fun fact about George is that he can tell you where every current NBA player went to college (seriously test him when you see him here). One of his favorite hobbies he enjoys is playing in his brother's trivia league. Shoutout Team Skins!

Laker Figueroa completed his B.S. in Sport Management at Elon University this May and is excited to be joining the team in Sockville to provide fans with the most FUN experience. He started interning for the Sock Puppets this spring as part of their sales academy.

In 10 years, he hopes to have taken the time to travel the world, work in sport full-time, and still make time for his friends and family. He enjoys going to the gym, hanging out with friends, and listening to music.

Laney Beale is a junior student-athlete on the Women's Basketball team at Wingate University. She is currently on track to receive a degree in Sports Management in May of 2026. Laney spent last with the Durham Bulls as an Operations Intern. She is excited to join the team in Sockville because of her love for baseball, the fun fan experience atmosphere, and the chance to gain more hands-on experience in the sports industry.

Laney's career goal is to manage a sports team/organization or working in a high-profile, collegiate athletic department. A fun fact about Laney, she was the bat girl for the UNC Baseball team for 7 years! Outside of school/work, she enjoys taking her dog on walks in the woods, going to the beach, and working out!

Lexie Roberts is a Sport Administration major at the University of Chapel Hill. An Alamance County native and Clover Garden graduate, Lexie has played softball at the Division I level for Radford before transferring to UNC for her junior season. She is excited to join the team in Sockville this summer to work in sports and to work for her hometown team.

Her goal for herself in ten years is to love wherever she is at within the sports industry. Outside of work, Lexie enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Mira Maccarone is a rising senior at Elon University where she majors in Strategic Communications with a minor in Sport Management. Originally from Cumberland, Rhode Island, Mira is calling Sockville home this summer as she looks to establish her career as a public relations/social media professional in the sports industry. She is excited for this summer and being able to work with some amazing people, see all of the fans on game days, and of course, to watch the best firework shows in town.

Currently Mira is a cheerleader at Elon University and serves as an assistant coach for Elon’s youth cheerleading team. In her free time you can find her by the pool or at the beach. A fun fact about Mira is that even though she is from New England, her favorite football team is the Miami Dolphins and her favorite baseball team (aside from the Sock Puppets) is the New York Yankees.

Sierra Moore is a senior at East Carolina University, majoring in Sports Studies with a minor in Business Administration. She is joining the team in Sockville this summer after interning with the Greenville Yard Gnomes in 2024. She is excited to call Burlington home this season and experience working with another summer-collegiate baseball team. On top of that, she is looking forward to learn more about the business side of the sports industry.

Sierra's goal is to work full-time in sports and spend time with her friends and family as she lives out her dream. An interesting fact about her is that she has been outside the country five times (Spain, Canada, Bahamas, England, and Mexico). Hobbies that I enjoy outside of school/work is anything puzzles, photography, and hanging out with my friends and family.

Aaron is the guy who somehow convinced the Sock Puppets to let him run around the field with a camera. You can find him wandering around capturing the action, doing some social media shenanigans, or playing hacky sack with the team before first pitch. If you see him feel free to wave, or offer him a stray hot dog. He’s probably hungry, and definitely trying to figure out what just happened on the field.

Based in Burlington NC, Aaron provides cinematography for a range of clients up and down the east coast; including PBS, Joe Gibbs Racing, Ketologic, SNG Water Science, Salvation Coffee, and Simply Health & Wellness just to name a few. But Sockville will always be his favorite place to be in.
