DANVILLE, VA - Bobbleheads and fireworks and discounted drinks - oh, my! With Caesars Virginia powering the Danville Otterbots and Danville Dairy Daddies 2024 seasons, the most fan-friendly and entertainment-packed summer of your life is coming to the River City!

With 37 total home games being played at Dan Daniel Memorial Park this season, Danville Baseball Club is proud to announce the 2024 promotional schedules for the Otterbots and Dairy Daddies. Returning in 2024 are crowd-favorite weekly specials like Fireworks Fridays, Thirsty Thursdays, and $2 Tuesdays. New in 2024 are exciting additions like Wine WINSdays, Farmyard Fridays, and Saturday Sundaes.

Nightly theme nights include six total giveaways, two Otterbots bobblehead giveaways, EIGHT total fireworks shows, 13 total drink discount nights, and new speciality jerseys. New nightly themes like Mardi Gras Monday, Olympics Night, Sketch Appreciation Night, and Honkey Tonk Hoedown will complement our annual celebrations of Military, First Responders, Healthcare Workers, Teachers, Pride, Juneteenth, and Sensory Nights.

Danville Baseball Club continues to strive towards creating opportunities for ALL members of our community to enjoy time at the ballpark. Whether you’re 2 or 92, whether you love the game or can’t stand baseball–we have the chance for you to treat yourself this summer. With 24 of the total 37 home games falling on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays–even work can’t stand in the way of you having fun with us all summer long.

DANVILLE OTTERBOTS WEEKLY PROMOTIONS

TUESDAYS: $2 Tuesday, presented by Jesse Jones! Each Tuesday home game, enjoy select $2 concessions items including Jesse Jones hot dogs, popcorn, water, chips, candy, and cotton candy!

WEDNESDAYS: Wine WINSday! All new for 2024, every Wednesday will be Wine WINSday, with wine specials in place for all to enjoy. Winning is always fun, and this year you can win on Wednesdays even if the Otterbots lose! Any fan with a scanned ticket into a Wednesday home game that ends in a loss will receive a free ticket to an additional Wednesday home game.

THURSDAYS: Thirsty Thursday, presented by KG Graphics! You know it, you love it, and it’s back. Quench your thirst on Thursdays with beverages starting at just $1! What more do you need to know? Back from 2023 is a FREE limited-edition koozie for the first 250 beers purchased every Thursday. Also returning from 2023 is KARAOKE in The Wreck, by KG Graphics. Snag a koozie and a $1 beverage, and show us why you’re the voice of Danville!

FRIDAYS: Friday Fireworks! Back by popular demand are POST GAME FIREWORKS after each Friday home game. BOOM, BANG, HISS! Enjoy the spectacle that is Otterbots baseball and cap the night off by watching us light up the sky!

SATURDAYS: Stupendous Saturday Giveaways & Bark in the Park! Every Saturday home game will feature an entry giveaway for the first 500 fans through the gates. Giveaway details can be found below. Your four legged friends are also invited every Saturday to enjoy Bark in the Park, with purchase of a pup pass!

SUNDAYS: United Way Non-Profit Sundays, presented by the United Way of Danville Pittsylvania County are back! Each Sunday the Otterbots will highlight select local non-profits, and provide ticket discounts for all fans who bring donation items or pledge volunteer hours to our highlighted non profits. Also returning is Ci-Day Sunday, presented by Bold Rock Hard Cider! We’re bringing it back, the always-popular Bold Rock Hard Cider products are discounted to $3 every Sunday. THURSDAYS: Teat Tuggin’ Thursday, presented by KG Graphics! It’s Thirsty Thursday, with a Daddified twist. Each Teat Tuggin’ Thursday will feature beverages starting at $1, and a FREE limited-edition Dairy Daddies koozie for the first 250 beers purchased every Thursday. FRIDAYS: Farmyard Friday, presented by Farm Credit of the Virginias! We wouldn’t be the Daddies of Dairy without experience in the farmyards, so each Farmyard Friday we bring everything you know and love about living out in the sticks right here to the ballpark. From Lifted Trucks to Petting Zoos, MOOOOvie Nights and Honky Tonk Hoedowns, we vow to give you the best boot scootin’ party around while celebrating our region’s wonderful history of agriculture!

SATURDAYS: Saturday Sundaes! WE. HAVE. ICE CREAM. For the first time ever we’ve got ice cream for all Danville home games. Tuesday, June 4th: Opening Night, presented by Caesars Virginia! Kick off the 2024 Otterbots season with a bang—literally. Thursday, June 13th: City of Danville Employee Appreciation Night! Celebrate the wonderful people who keep our city moving, and enjoy the first Thirsty Thursday of the season. The concourse will be set up with activities and giveaways galore!

Friday, June 14th: Healthcare Appreciation Night, Cancer Awareness Night, and Post Game Fireworks! The Otterbots are proud to honor the healthcare workers who work tirelessly to keep us safe and healthy, and want to remind all who are fighting or have fought cancer: No one fights alone. Stick around for the first Friday Fireworks show of the 2024 season!

Saturday, June 15th: Walk-Off Scotter Bobblehead Giveaway, presented by Caesars Virginia! The best mascot in the world, everyone’s favorite otter, in walk off fashion: Scotter! Get to the ballpark early—only the first 500 fans through the gates get a bobblehead!

Sunday, June 16th: Father’s Day Catch on the Field. Come celebrate Father’s Day with our annual parent-child pre-game catch on the field, mid-game dad bod contest, and post-game kids run the bases! It’s our first United Way Non-Profit Sunday and Bold Rock Ci-Day Sunday of the season, so come ready to donate and ready to hydrate!

Saturday, June 22nd: Reversible Bucket Hat Giveaway, Annual Juneteenth Celebration. In celebration of Freedom Day, we share the rich history of baseball in Danville, tell the stories of the Danville All Stars, and explore Danville’s place in the Civil Rights Movement. This season, we celebrate in giveaway fashion with a reversible bucket hat featuring the logos of your beloved Otterbots and the Danville All-Stars!

Thursday, June 27th: Pride Night, Thirsty Thursday presented by KG Graphics! It’s our 4th Annual Pride Night in collaboration with Collidescope. Our ballpark is for everyone, and each member of our community deserves to feel invited and welcomed at our games. We are proud to continue elevating our annual Pride celebrations!

Friday, June 28th: Military Appreciation Specialty Jersey, Friday Fireworks! Celebrate the men and women who have fought and continue to fight for our freedom. We’re kicking it up a notch this year as the Otterbots will dawn a Specialty Jersey that’s sure to get you in the patriotic spirit. Game worn jerseys will be auctioned off!

Wednesday, July 3rd: Stars & Stripes Spectacular Fireworks! Baseball, hot dogs, and fireworks: what better way to celebrate America’s birthday? Kick off your Independence Day with a night at the ballpark, featuring our largest fireworks show of the season! Don’t wait to buy your tickets, our Stars & Stripes Spectacular is the first game to sell out every season!

Friday, July 5th: First Responders Appreciation Night presented by SERVPRO of Danville Pittsylvania County, Friday Fireworks! Join us in honoring the First Responders who put their health and safety on the line for our community every day. Thanks to SERVPRO Danville Pittsylvania County, all First Responders get a FREE ticket! God’s Storehouse will be on the concourse as the excitement builds for our 2nd Annual Bats & Badges Softball Game, and we’ll end the night with FIREWORKS!

Saturday, July 6th: Mickey Tettleton Bobblehead Giveaway, Bark in the Park! As we embark on a new era of Otterbots baseball, we celebrate the new Skipper in town, Mickey Tettleton! The first 500 fans through the gates will receive a bobblehead of the MLB legend in his patented batting stance.

Sunday, July 7th: Summer Splash Day. Take a break from the summer heat with Summer Splash Day. Water slides, foam pits, and sprinklers, we’ve got it all to keep you cool. A perfect opportunity for a family outing, it’s also a United Way Non-Profit Sunday and Bold Rock Ci-Day Sunday, so slap on some swim trunks and SPF, and come ready to donate and hydrate! We cap the evening with kids run the bases.

Wednesday, July 17th: Sensory Night, presented by The Hughes Center, Wine WINSday! While Luca’s Place Ballpark Sensory Room is open during each and every home game, we understand that a ballpark is an easy place for a sensory overload. For our 3rd Annual Sensory Night, the volume of the speakers will be set to low, there will be minimal crowd chants started by the Otterbots Hype Team, and sensory kits will be available at Fan Services for any fan that requests one.

Friday, July 19th: Teacher Appreciation Night, Friday Fireworks. With the school year creeping up at this point of the summer, we know our teachers need a night out. (Wait, teachers don’t just live in their classrooms?!) Join us in celebrating our teachers by keeping a cold beverage in their hands, and their students far away from them. End the night with post game FIREWORKS!

Saturday, July 20th: Olympic Gold Chain Giveaway, Cornhole Olympics presented by Seven10 Cornhole! This summer the Olympic Games head to Paris, but not without making a pit stop in Danville, Virginia. On this night, everyone's a winner with the Olympic Gold Chain Giveaway for the first 500 fans through the gates. The festivities kick off at 2:00pm with a pregame Cornhole Tournament, presented by Seven10 Cornhole. All registrants will get a GUARANTEED GIVEAWAY and exclusive access to our post-game Closing Ceremonies Party! Once first pitch is thrown, the [Olympic] games begin: each between-innings promotion will mirror an Olympic event. If anyone has any suggestions on how to get a full-length swimming pool in the outfield, let us know.

Sunday, July 21st: All-Faiths Night. Faith groups representing all religions and denominations are invited to an afternoon of fun and fellowship at the ballpark! Gates will open one hour early for all religious organizations with group tickets, and we will recognize all groups on the field with a pre-game parade. After kids run the bases one last time in 2024, all faith groups in attendance will be invited down to the field to take their own spin around the infield! It’s our final United Way Non-Profit Sunday and Bold Rock Ci-Day Sunday of the season.

Monday, July 29th: Mardi Gras Monday! We bring ‘The Big Easy’ to the River City. A pre-game parade along the Riverwalk Trail will kick off the festivities, and the night will be capped off with a Teddy Bear Toss with all toys to be donated to Sovah Health’s Pediatrics department. In between, the ballpark will transform into Bourbon Streets, with music, masks, beads, and more!

Wednesday, July 31st: Fan Appreciation Night, presented by Caesars Virginia, Post Game Fireworks! We end the 2024 season the only way we know how, by thanking YOU! Ballpark specials will be announced throughout the night with deals on concessions, merchandise, and exclusive giveaways. Cap off an incredible 2024 season with one final post game fireworks show! Keep your eyes on the Appalachian League Standings Board–if the Otterbots win the East, the playoffs are coming to Danville!

Friday, May 24th: Opening Night presented by Caesars Virginia, Cowbell Giveaway, Farmyard Friday presented by Farm Credit of the Virginias! We boot, scoot, and boogie into the Danville Dairy Daddies first ever game. Ring in the baseball season by arriving early: the first 500 fans will receive an official Dairy Daddies cowbell to rattle the opposition all season long, and a 2024 magnet schedule!

Saturday, May 25th: Memorial Day Fireworks Celebration, Saturday Sundae! Memorial Day Weekend baseball is back in Danville for the first time in over 80 years and we’re kicking it off with a bang! Join us for ice cream specials that you could only dream about, a night full of udderly unforgettable fun, and POST GAME FIREWORKS!

Friday, May 31st: Petting Zoo Night, Farmyard Friday presented by Farm Credit of the Virginias! The animals are running the farm for this one. Come out and meet some of the friendliest and furriest farmyard animals imaginable with our Petting Zoo on the concourse! Big Truck Farm Brewery is joining the fun this season, and May 31st will be the first of THREE chances to enjoy $3 Big Truck Farm products!

Saturday, June 1st: Tribute to Sketch Night. What’s up, brother? Special teams, special plays, special players. TUESDAY, TUESDAY…but on a Saturday. Our Saturday Sundae of the evening will feature Sketch’s beloved Texans’ blue and red syrup and sprinkles. CJ Stroud, you’re invited, but we won’t pay for travel. We know you got it like that.

Friday, June 7th: Lifted Truck Appreciation Night, Farmyard Friday presented by Farm Credit of the Virginias! The Southside is a hot bed for some of the loudest and baddest trucks in the game. If you are an owner of one of these fine trucks, whether it’s got the Carolina Squat or just an old fashioned lift kit, come enjoy a Dairy Daddies game at a discounted rate! Everyone who pulls in with a lift receives a $5 General Admission ticket! Big Truck Farm Brewery will be back with the second opportunity to enjoy $3 Big Truck Farm products!

Saturday, June 8th: Breast Cancer Awareness Night, presented by SOVAH Cancer Center, Saturday Sundae! On this night we celebrate those who have survived breast cancer with a pre-game parade, and do our best to raise awareness about prevention and treatment options. The Dairy Daddies will be rocking specialty pink jerseys that will be available for auction at the end of the season!

Friday, June 21st: Honky Tonk Hoedown presented by WAKG, Farmyard Friday presented by Farm Credit of the Virginias! 103.3 WAKG airs LIVE! From the ballpark giving us their greatest country hits and showing us how to get down. With line dances on the dugouts and cold beverages flowing, it’s sure to be the biggest party of the summer! Saturday, June 29th: ONSLy Fans 18+ Night, Saturday Sundae! This one is Only[for]Fans 18+. To celebrate our inaugural season in the Old North State League (ONSL), we hereby invite the adults of Southern Virginia to enjoy a late night out at the ballpark. With a special 9:00 PM first pitch and an atmosphere that is unlike any other baseball game you’ve ever seen, we promise you want to click this link in bio. An 18+ policy will be enforced at the gates. All season ticket holders with family members under 18 will receive vouchers good for any other 2024 Dairy Daddies or Otterbots game, including potential playoffs.

Thursday, July 11th: National Cow Day, Teat Tuggin’ Thursday presented by KG Graphics! Join us as we attempt to break the Guiness World Record for most people dressed as a cow in one place! The number to beat is 1,352 so come out, dress as a cow, enjoy special Teat Tuggin’ beverage discounts, and be a part of a record breaking night in Danville! (We know National Cow Day is July 9th, but we don’t have a game. Don’t come for us, Big Dairy.)

Friday, July 12th: MOOOOvie Night, Farmyard Friday presented by Farm Credit of the Virginias! Roll out the red carpet and grab some popcorn because it’s MOOOOvie Night in Danville. After watching the Dairy Daddies take care of business, join us on the field for a post-game showing of the hit film, Field of Dreams. No chairs with metal legs will be allowed on the field–we suggest bringing a blanket or two.
