Greeneville Flyboys win 2026 Appy League Organization of the Year

Greeneville Organization of the Year

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. — The Greeneville Flyboys have been named the 2026 Appalachian League Organization of the Year. This is the second time in the past three years the Greeneville Flyboys were winners of this award. The Organization of the Year is awarded to the club that exemplifies the standards of the complete baseball franchise based upon franchise stability, contributions to the League's stability, contributions to baseball in the community and promotion of the baseball industry.

The Greeneville Flyboys saw significant changes and improvements during the 2026 season that set the stage for another strong season and into the future. First and foremost, the team secured its first-ever naming rights partnership with the stadium being named Eastman Credit Union Field. This partnership has paved the way for major improvements for the Flyboys organization, Tusculum University and the community.

“It is an honor to be named Organization of the Year for the second time in three years, and our new naming rights partner, Eastman Credit Union, played a major part this season,” Flyboys general manager Brandon Bouschart said.

“This award highlights just how amazing our staff, interns, players and, most importantly, fans truly are. This recognition is for them and the Greeneville community, and we cannot thank everyone enough.”

Inside the ballpark, the Flyboys implemented various new elements including new stadium netting, cashless transactions and an improved ticket platform. All these daring changes were aimed at improving fan experience while keeping everyone safe during the 2026 season, and they all proved to do just that this summer. Lines were faster than ever, and fans were able to enter the ballpark at record pace. The Flyboys once again brought in one of the largest crowds in the Appalachian League on July 4 with 4,652 fans in attendance watching the Flyboys wearing America 250 themed jerseys, the Highlands Emergency Air Rescue delivering the game ball via helicopter and the biggest fireworks show in town.

The Flyboys took promotions to the next level in 2026 with new themes, new jerseys and more than double the number of giveaways than ever before. The team gave away four different t-shirts during the season, a Flyboys-themed soccer jersey, Jack Wilson bobblehead, Chick-fil-A, gift cards and more! The team also partnered with the United Way of Greene County and the David Crockett Birthplace State Park to debut a one-of-a-kind Davy Crockett themed jersey to benefit the non-profits. The night was spectacular with axe throwing, black powder rifle salutes, Davy Crockett reenactors, horse led color guard and fireworks! The night was aimed to bring in donations and drive continued awareness from the destruction caused by Hurricane Helene.

The team also went above and beyond with community outreach and service in 2026. The team more than doubled their community services hours compared to 2025, with 643 total hours served in the community and more than $400,000 in gift-in-find contributions so far in 2026. The Flyboys supported various organizations including the Boys & Girls Club, Salvation Army, United Way of Greene County, Make-A-Wish and more.

Recently, the Flyboys partnered with Tusculum University to establish the first ever 9/11 Stair Climb at Eastman Credit Union Field. The event was held on Sept. 11, 2026, and aimed to pay tribute/honor those we lost and those who served on that fateful day 25 years ago. More than a hundred participants, including many first responders, participated in the climb.

Full season tickets for the 2027 season will be available in the coming weeks. Call 423-609-7400 for more information.
