GREENEVILLE, Tenn. — Greeneville Flyboys utility infielder Matt Cash and outfielder Matthew Kerrigan have been selected to the 2026 All-Appalachian League Team.

Matt Cash – UTIL/INF (Jacksonville State)

Cash, the left-handed bat from Jacksonville State, etched his name into Greeneville Flyboys and Appalachian League history in 2026. In 33 games this summer with the Flyboys, Cash posted 52 hits, 22 runs, 31 RBI, one HR and 15 stolen bases. Cash broke the single-season batting average record for the Appalachian League with a .413 average. Cash also completed the rare feat of playing all nine positions against the Johnson City Doughboys during the Flyboys' final home game of the season. Cash started at catcher that night and played every position in order before closing out the game on the mound to secure the Flyboys final win of the season.

Matthew Kerrigan – OF (Auburn)

Kerrigan was a focal point of the Greeneville Flyboys roster in 2026. Kerrigan played in the most games of any Flyboy this summer with 40 appearances. During those games, he posted a batting average of .325 to go along with his 49 hits, 35 runs, 26 RBI, four HR and 14 stolen bases. Those numbers put Kerrigan in the top four in hits and top 10 in runs and stolen bases for the Appalachian League this summer. Kerrigan proved to be a very reliable player on defense for the Flyboys as well.
