DANVILLE, VA – The first game of the 2023 season for the Danville Otterbots featured both strong pitching performances and a ninth-inning rally that fell just short, with an amazing crowd of nearly 2,000 on-hand.

- Michigan’s Jacob Denner set the table well for a strong 2023 season in Danville, tossing 3.0 no-hit innings as he faced the minimum and struck out five of the nine batters he faced.
- If speed is the “name of the game,” then teams will quickly learn the name Tre Keels. The Portsmouth, Va., native stole three bases on the night, and finished 1-3 at the plate with a walk.
