DANVILLE, Va. — The Otterbots routed the River Turtles, 15-0, in an emphatic win Saturday night.

The Otterbots scored in every inning of the game except the seventh. Callan Moss had a big day at the plate and drove in five runs on two hits. He nearly had his second homer of the year on a drive that hit off the top of the wall in center field.

Kaden Martin hit the second home run of the year for the Otterbots. Martin got a fastball that he did not miss in the first inning, and he took that ball out 400 feet to right field. That home run set the tone for how Saturday's game would go down.

Raymond Ladd got his third start on the year for the Otterbots. He was masterful in his four innings of work giving up zero runs on three hits, one walk and four strikeouts. He lowered his season-earned run average to 2.00.

Eight of the nine starters for the Otterbots had a base hit or better in this game. In total, they had fifteen hits and eight walks in the game. It was an all-around great day for the Bots. Alex Conover had the second-highest runs batted in on the night with three.

As for the pitching staff, they had a collective twelve strikeouts and held the Turtles batters to just four hits. Khaden Washington picked up his first win on the season for the Otterbots and pitcher Jack Garvey took the loss.

Up next, the Otterbots will play their first seven-inning Sunday game of the year as their previous one in Greeneville was cancelled. This will be Pulaski’s second Sunday game this year.
