The Pulaski River Turtles have finalized their broadcast team for the 2025 Appalachian League season on the all-new AWRE streaming service platform.
Play-by-play announcer Brett Wiseman and production manager Bryce Cobler will helm the broadcasts of all 24 home games at Calfee Park this season, which will air online at pulaskiriverturtles.com.
Wiseman brings years of on-air experience to the Pulaski River Turtles broadcast booth. A 2020 graduate of Appalachian State, Wiseman called Mountaineers baseball for both ESPN+ and WASU Radio while attending college. He then spent two summers with the Southern Collegiate Baseball League’s Carolina Disco Turkeys, including their inaugural season in 2021. Wiseman has most recently served as the play-by-play announcer for the Wytheville, Va.-based Blue Ridge Bobcats of the Federal Prospects Hockey League.
A self-described "iPad kid," Cobler has always been captivated by video content and storytelling. His attention to detail, combined with a passion for immersive visuals, drives him to create media that pulls viewers into the moment. Whether on the field or behind the scenes, he is committed to delivering experiences that make audiences feel like they’re part of the action. Currently in his senior year at Emory & Henry, Cobler has most recently served alongside Wiseman as the streaming manager for the Bobcats.
The Appalachian League recently announced a multiyear partnership with AWRE Sports, designating the startup video platform service as the league’s official camera and streaming provider for 2025 and beyond.
Used by more than 400 schools to capture practice and game video, AWRE utilizes a setup of up to seven different camera angles to ensure every aspect of the game is captured. The implementation emphasizes using the latest technology in video and data analytics to ensure that players, coaches, scouts and fans can get the most out of their viewing experience regardless of where they are taking in the game. Upon replay, users will be able to see the situation, action and result of the play in view to help create highlights, scouting reports and more. Captured video can also be used to breakdown player performance and mechanics in real time through frame-by-frame, slow motion and other features.
Opening Night at Calfee Park is slated for June 5. A complete 2025 schedule is available for download here.
