NEW YORK – The MLB Draft League and Appalachian League announced a new multi-year agreement and partnership with AWRE Sports as the official camera and streaming provider ahead of the 2025 season.
AWRE Sports, a startup video platform service, has transformed the way video has been utilized by teams and organizations to enhance player development, streaming, instant replay, scouting and analysis. Used by more than 400 schools to capture practice and game video, AWRE utilizes a setup of up to seven different camera angles to ensure every aspect of the game is captured. Utilizing AI technology, tracking, clipping and reporting can be done automatically and on-the-fly. All six MLB Draft League stadiums will be equipped with AWRE’s multi-angle camera system with full integration of its AI technology features.
AWRE will also serve as the streaming service for the entire schedule of both the MLB Draft League and Appalachian League. The implementation emphasizes using the latest technology in video and data analytics to ensure that players, coaches, scouts and fans can get the most out of their viewing experience regardless of where they are taking in the game. Upon replay, users will be able to see the situation, action and result of the play in view to help create highlights, scouting reports and more. Captured video can also be used to breakdown player performance and mechanics in real time through frame-by-frame, slow motion and other features.
The partnership highlights the MLB Draft League and Appalachian League’s ongoing commitment to embracing cutting-edge technology and providing a professional-level development environment to its players and staff while also delivering a top-tier viewing experience to scouts and fans everywhere.
