The Appalachian League announced that Burlington's Oscar Serratos and Greeneville's Cameron Wagoner were named Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively.

Serratos was a force in the Sock Puppets' lineup all week long, batting .667 (14-for-21) with two home runs and 13 RBI, also adding three doubles and a triple. Serratos started his week with a three-hit game in Tuesday's win over Bluefield before picking up six hits in his next seven at-bats over the following two games. He connected for a pair of home runs in Saturday's loss to Pulaski and ended his week with a triple and two runs scored on Sunday. The Biola University infielder is now batting a league-best .600 with a 1.680 OPS.

Wagoner appeared in two games this week for Greeneville, giving up two runs and striking out 16 in six innings. His first appearance came in Tuesday's win over Johnson City, where he tossed two innings and allowed one hit and two runs, striking out five. The right-hander made his first start of the season on Sunday, throwing four hitless innings and striking out 11 of the 12 batters he faced in a combined-no hitter against Johnson City. Wagoner, who plays collegiately at Eastern Michigan University, leads the league with 17 strikeouts.
