Todd Steverson to manage State Liners in 2024

Bristol 2024 Manager Announcement

The Bristol State Liners are excited to announce that Todd Steverson will be the manager for the 2024 season.

Steverson, out of Arizona State, was a first-round pick of the Toronto Blue Jays in the 1992 MLB Draft. After three seasons in the Minor Leagues, the right-handed outfielder was selected by the Detroit Tigers in the 1994 Rule 5 Draft and made their Opening Day roster in 1995. Steverson ultimately played in 30 games during the '95 season before reaching the big leagues for one final game with the San Diego Padres in 1996.

After his playing career was over, Steverson spent a decade as a coach and then manager in the Minors before joining the Oakland Athletics' coaching staff for two seasons. He later served as the Chicago White Sox hitting coach from 2014-19.

The 52-year-old California native succeeds Bill Kinneberg as Bristol's manager.
