Roster Revealed for 2025 12U National Team Training Camp

Thirty-six players to participate in Training Camp following the Futures Invitational

CARY, N.C. – USA Baseball today finalized the 36-player roster for the 2025 12U National Team Training Camp, following the completion of the 11U Futures Invitational. Training Camp will be held from June 23-27 at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, North Carolina, as the U.S. prepares to build its World Cup-bound 12U National Team. After the final day of Training Camp, USA Baseball will name the final 18-player roster that will compete in the 2025 World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) U-12 Baseball World Cup in Tainan, Taiwan, July 25-August 3.

Over the five-day Training Camp, players will compete in a series of workouts, practices, and intrasquad scrimmages. In order for coaches and Task Force to evaluate the field, players will be split into two groups for a four-game Stars vs. Stripes series, designed to help evaluate player performance in competitive gameplay.

“We are excited to name the thirty-six players who will compete for a roster spot on this year’s 12U National Team,” said 12U National Team Program Director Cole Beeker. “After an excellent week of competition among the nation's top 12-and-under athletes, we are confident in this year’s group of players and their ability to play baseball at the highest level. This past week, athletes from around the nation proved their skillset and work ethic, making it exceptionally difficult for USA Baseball Task Force and coaches to finalize the group of players invited to Training Camp. Our attention now turns to assembling a championship-caliber team and defending our gold medal this summer in Taiwan.”

Winning five gold medals over the past six WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup tournaments, the U.S. aims to win its third consecutive World Cup title one month from now. Already with a proven record of success on foreign soil, the 12U National Team seeks to win its ninth gold medal in 12-and-under international competition.

The 2025 12U National Team Training Camp roster features players from across the nation, as 17 different states are represented on the 36-player roster. California, Florida, and Texas are responsible for the bulk of the product at Training Camp, as those states boast 16 players combined. Eight athletes hail from California, while Florida and Texas are represented by four players apiece. Six states send two players apiece while eight other states possess the remaining invitees.

In February, USA Baseball named the 2025 12U National Team coaching staff, a group of mentors with decades of experience both playing and coaching baseball. At the forefront of the charge is Bryan Madsen – who was tabbed manager for the second consecutive year. Alongside Madsen is pitching coach Wes Brooks, and assistant coaches Roger Wright and Erick Quesada. Madsen and Quesada make their second appearance on a World Cup roster, having previously served on staff of the gold medal-winning 2023 12U National Team. Meanwhile, Brooks and Wright will each notch two consecutive summers in a Team USA uniform.

Prior to taking the field in Taiwan, Team USA will hold training in Los Angeles, California from July 18-21 to finalize preparations for international competition. The U.S. will then travel to Tainan, Taiwan, where the squad is slated to play Panama in the tournament opener on July 25, at 2:30 p.m. local/2:30 a.m. ET.
